hey guys,
anyone know how to fix a overhead reel that wont engage back from free spool?

I have a flueger contender G15L, last few trips on the first drop gears wouldnt kick in, was just staying on free spool.

I have just wacked sum new line on tonight and its doing it again, dam thing :(

Looks like you need to take the end plate off Zutt's and take a look see!:cool:
One of the gears may be chipped. although sounds more like they might be a tad dry!
Lite machine oil is the go!(whistle)

Some after every trip and the drag loosen off will make the rings/reels last for ever.

A whize whiging Waaf from Noosa once talk me that or was that learnt me better.
or should that be Wise whinging RAAF Gentleman informed me of that trick many years ago.

Took it apart and wouldnt have a clue what does what.lol

Gave sum lube but still the same, will take it in 2 morrow,

onlu took him 10 mins, just needed a clean up,

This has also reminded me to go through all my reels and give them a bit of a service. I am getting similar problems. I remember the service your boat and trailer day we had a while back. It is a good idea to have a service your fishing gear day too. Rods, Reels and tackle.
