Well we finally got out in the 5.3 again today.

The wind had already picked up by the time we hit out favourite squid spot but I managed to pull one in.

We then went up the river where we usually hunt salmon when they are running & tried for some flathead. We didnt manage to get many & most were way under sized.

"The Orphan" managed to get one just over size & I got half a dozen under size including this one.

Even Jeffs gogo gadget arms couldnt make it look bigger.

I did get 1 good hookup. A nice sized gummy shark that did some hard pulling & even leaped out of the water a few times.

But as we were fishing in a shark nursery it had to go back

Nice one Pete.

This one took a Bream popper at Hat Head Creek. Fish is only marginally bigger than the lure.

That was light clothing, no thermal required and the orphan even had bare feet. I didn't even pack the thermos for coffee...mind you when the wind picked up, it seemed like 30 knots, I had regrets about that decision.

I like the jacket with 'Stormy' written on it. My boat has Stormy ll written on it. I guess it must be younger than your jacket.
