Its been windy for a few weeks now in Tassie & we thought as I have today off we would be up at 6:00 & be out on the water by 7:00 before the wind gets up.

Well you guessed it we were right the wind did get up but it was at around 7:00 so by the time we got onto the water it was already blowing 15Kt.

We tried to do a bit of squidding but the wind was way to strong & we were blown off the weed beds in quick time.

We then headed up the river & spent a leisurely hour or so dragging some lures around but without any luck. So it was back to the ramp & back home with out a fish in the boat again (agro) (agro) (agro)

By the time I washed the boat & trailer down it was 11:00. All in all it was still a nice drive in the boat.

Maybe next time we get up at 5:00 & be on the water by 6:00

The Orphan may have something to say about that......15 year olds do not know what 5.00am means as a wake up time!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway who was up at 6.00 - I could still hear snoring while I was grinding the coffee.

You might be right there Jeff, but at least I would be allowed to take the boat out past the mouth of the river (tongue in cheek) (tongue in cheek) (tongue in cheek)

Long time no see. Hope you have been well & had a good Christmas

We used to have a guy on here that sold his poly and bought an upside down trailer sailer... dont know what ever happened to him.. (whistle)

Those sorts of conditions are considered a great day on the water for skiing arent they Miss Jane?

My tip is be on the spot you want to fish when first light appears. Fish seem to bite, and it's the best time of the day.
