I have just purchased (went halves with a mate) a second hand 4.1m Challenger, so I thought I would join the site. Hopefully I'll be able to learn a bit from the site regarding mods etc, and maybe even help someone else along the way.

Anyway here is a picture of my boat. All I need to do now is to actually use it!!

Can you please post a close-up of the mounting bracket for the electric? I want to mount mine parallel to the gunnel as well and suspect I'll need to mount a block of HDPE or similar to fit the metal base plate at the right angle. I saw a review of a 4.5 poly in the Dec/Jan issue of trailer boat magazine and did not like how the electric was mounted pointing diagonally back into the front section and essentially blocking seating space. Good to see another 4.1 owner with the best colour. Will actually post pictures of my boat tomorrow. That is the incentive for me to clean it and get all the fish scales etc out of it.

as the guys have said, there are plenty of 4.1 owners who have Modded up their boats.

Do a search in the old forum as well as there is plenty of info there. (See the reference link on the forum page)
