No need to spend wads of cash on boat, just cobble one together out of leaves.

Two weeks in 'Nam with Bronwyn, and he's "gone native"!

Welcome back Chin - I've missed you. There's been no-one to blame 'cept me.

Yes we did all the touristy stuff, ate a Cobra (and drank it's still-beating heart in a shot glass), got drunk, got lost, got lucky, got ripped off, spent a fortune, and survived walking across the street in Saigon through a sea of motorbikes and trucks.

We did have a good time Glenn, but I probably wouldn't go there again. Having snake for dinner wasn't our idea, we hooked up with a mate of a mate in Saigon, a local who I think was trying to show off a bit by ordering things like that. Apart from that the food was fantastic everywhere we went, and we didn't even get a case of the Saigon squirts.

Talking of Thai food doesn't make me hungry. Snake???? Not for me.

American food - hmmmm, I couldn't finish it.

Holy coronary KKW, that looks like an episode of the Simpsons.laugh1
Snake is on the menu of a lot of places in Vietnam, but it was the only dud meal we had in 2 weeks. They made that snake into several different dishes, and they were all chewy and horrible. I like all Asian food, but Vietnamese is different, most of it has very subtle flavours, not overpowering or spicy or hot, unless you ask for it that way. You can just about order anything and can't go wrong (except the snake...blecchhh)

looks like one massize chicken parma.

Chin i had rattlesnake at the grand canyon and it was also very chewy and reminded me of very overcooked fish, nothing flash just deep fried rattler with sweet chilli sauce, was novel but i wouldn't reccomended it, just sling me one of those massize meals and watch me explode!!!!

kinda like the locals up here eating dugong and turtle... all tastes like shit... and I spose you can live on it. Tried Dugong once, thought it was pork.. like chewing on an old firies boot!

Why in heck would you want to eat any of that when there are good ole cows to chew on? 2thumbsup
