Hi every one just been looking at an american website and found a product that might be of interest.

www.seasucker.com stckis to the side of your boat and can be modified to fit an array of holders and configureations as well as strong enough to hold 210lb.....you still have to heat treat the area before applying im guessing as the pits in the plastic might not have a good seal.

You know our enterprising little angel Doug, he never lets a chance go by... and besides we are not all rich retired doctors come business owners!

Not too sure about using one of those for trolling as advertised. I could just imagine the rod dissappearing over the stern when hit by a big mackeral.

Would be more suited to static equipment. Even a fire extinguisher would be a worry if held in place with one of those. If shock loaded on a big wave and increased G force (= weight) you might find yourself with a new toe ring.
