Hi all, just joined today, I currently have a tinny but looking at upgrading to a Polycraft in the very neaer future (probably 2nd hand if I can find one). I mainly fish Lake Macquarie in NSW however I want something that I can duck out to the inshore reefs in without to much trouble. The current Quintrex Explorer also gets bashed around a bit in the lake chop when the nor easter gets up, so looking to alleviate that issue to.

Would a 4.10 do me for what I need (especially alleviating the lake chop)? I primarily fish with 1 ot 2 on board as well so keen to know wether open, side or centre console would be best. Your feedback is very much appreciated.

Hey mate and welcome to the site 2thumbsup

You might find the 4.1 a little uncomfy in that chop, as its a V shaped punt, Not saying its not capable but wouldn't allieviate your problem,

I use to take my 4.1 offshore and really had to go with the weather for a comfy ride there and home, got caught a few times with Head on wind with massive chop, Got slapped .LOL as any liitle boat would though, Still the impact on your body is no way even close to a tiiny of the same size!

Next time round i will be going with the 4.5 or the 4.8, Loving getting out in the big blue, Now thats real fishing :)
