Hi All,
I thought that I would put up a quick report from the latest Big Barra trip to Peter Faust.
I took down my Dad this time, and my mate Mick (whose brother has a green 4.55 Poly) from Mackay came up as well.
We fished the mornings and some afternoons for a total of 9 fish over the 4 days we were there. Not a great amount, but we managed a couple of PB's, my Dad got a 126cm and I got a 121cm fish, so got to be happy with that. All Barra were released strong and fit, as they are only average on the plate, if one had of died, we would have knocked off the fillets, but luckily they are survived.
We caught heaps of Red Claw as well, and enjoyed 2x feeds of them, as well as taking home our bag limit each (40 red claw per person).
Anyway here are some photos of the fish, my Dad did not think he could lift the big girl, as it was very heavy, so Mick and I got photos of each other holding the big one up. I had to get Mick to help me lift her into the boat, plus she only just made it into my XOS sized net.
Cheers,
Snowman
