I was interested in this product so decided that I would actually buy one for myself and son.
As you know I work on the rescue helicopter up here and also do a lot of flying in fixed wings.
With any of this flying, it is 99% over water. Some trips are up to 145km, predominently over water with a few islands scattered around.
The helo we fly is the first of the model, 24 years old. Now it is maintained to a high standard but anything made by a human is going to break sooner or later. Especially as it gets older and fatigue sets into the metal.
My son is moving up here and is going to work on the pilot boats taking pilots out to the ships up to 80nm offshore.
I thought we would both have one to carry on our belt in its holder, just as a back up safety device to the EPRIBS, die and other stuff we carry.
I looked up the web site and there is no provision for ordering for overseas customers (they are based in Hawaii).
I emailed them and they gave me a link to another page for OS orders.
They want me to ring them (see my tale of woe about Telstra) to pay for them.
One would think it wouldnt take much to set up a paypal account for OS orders.
I will be waiting for a while to place my order.
