Well it has been about 6 months since Glenn sent me a sample of Sharkhide Metal Protectant. I painted it on a portion of the fibreglass deck of the Quintrex. I have just pressure blasted the decking as it was looking very ordinary. The glass (yellow tinted) deck is now clean but looks 'dull'. The portion of the side decking which had Sharkhide applied, is shiny. I will be doing the rest of it with Sharkhide as soon as possible. Wish I knew how to get that deep gloss look, before I do the sharkhide, but I don't want to apply wax. A great product Glenn and it answers my question as to whether it works on fibreglass.

Just wondering what sort of coverage it has on fibreglass per litre, thanks

Thats great kkw,
Your glass should retain that gloss look for at least 12 months maybe longer! When it starts to display those dull patches simply re-apply Sharkhide for a return to that former gloss!

Coverage depends on a few things BakerBill, it glides over the surface and is quite "cheap" to apply.
Your average 5.0 runabout (aluminium) usually only requires 1x litre can.
I use Sharkhide on all my pontoon boats and to date average 4x boats per litre. That is 2x pontoons per boat, single coat with an average length 19ft x 2ft (round) tubes.

Hope this has helped.
I will try and take some photos of the plastic samples for you guys over the next week or so?

Keep up the great work guys!

I cannot tell a lie - I got some and never got round to trying it. Now the boats will be gone in a couple of weeks. Should I try it on the Poly? Will it melt? Big Fella?

Aren't Polys indestructible? Just try it on a small section - like just around the keel area.
