View Full Version : Later addons to a 5.3 Frontrunner?
As per my previous post I have ordered a 5.3 Frontrunner.
One thing I forgot to add with the order was the pair of ski hooks, now thinking through uses for the boat have figured the sons might want to tow around a 'tube' or something.
My question is can the ski hooks be added post delivery?
Have not contacted delear as I have just thought about it, will do tomorrow.
Cheers

EDIT: The other item forgotten was a bait cutting board, suppose I can get around this.
Stephen, I added ski-hooks to my 5.3. It involves a bit of spoon digging with the flotation foam. Pirate Pete did his usual "over-design" and put a pole in. Cross his palm with silver and he'll conjure up the pix from the old bulletin board. Don't reveal your PIN though, or he'll clear you out.

It gives the bait board something to sit on & makes it more stable
Cheers Pirate Pete, have been giving the pics of your boats set-up, having it as 'Boat of the Month' has been good.
One question, is the base plate of the centre pole bolted through the the floor? (Looks that way)

Yes its always good to see what others have done with their boats.
The pole is fixed in the top of the transom with a plate underneath it & bolted through. It then sits in the bracket at the bottom that is screwed to the front lip of the floor & also bolted through with a plate underneath the bottom of the floor. I will see if I can find some more pictures for you.

Hope these help.
Under the top of the transom. Notice the nylock nut not done up properly from the factory. The transom was about 20mm thick at this point.

Pete do you really need to lash the boat to the shed, or do you do it just for fun

No I just did it to see how the ropes would clear the motor.
Johnno motors are famous for running away from home.
Thanks Pete for those images, much appreciated.
