Dont get me wrong, I do like my poly but gee wize they certainly could put a bit more thought into them. Not enough access, not enough thought gone into plumbing fittings etc from the factory and what is with the bloody water that gets stuck in the hull at the left and right corners???? Only option I can see is to install bungs in each corner. Any other ideas guys? Just has all my electrical cables etc permanently sitting under an inch or 2 of water.

Cheers Jas!

PS the boat is a 4.1m SC

it is a problem with the boats but with my 4.1 i just used to shoot the hose into the corner and displace it with pressure and then reach ina nd scoop what i could out then leave the hatches off, bungs are something i am looking at for the 5.3m now

I find with my 5.3 that it holds water if I dont take the bungs out on the way back home or give the boat a good wash out. I have to lift the trailer up at the front as high as I can to get the water to run out. I usually end up with the rear of the trailer actually touching the ground to get the water out.

I just drop the nose of my trailer after washing it out - the water runs toward the front and centre of the boat, then after a minute (time to grab a second beer from the fridge), I pick it up and celebrate my victory over a minor design fault.

My problem is I dont need to wash my boat enough.

When I had my 4.1 I used to have a couple of hand towels in the shed. After cleaning the boat i would lift up the draw bar and sit it on the back of the ute, go and have a cuppa and wait for the water to run to the rear. Roll up the towels and place them in each corner to soak up the water... Job done.
Personally I would not be putting more holes in the boat than necessary.
