View Full Version : live bait tank
G,day fella,s
Im looking for a live bait tank for the 5.3 frontrunner , i have heard that polycraft dont sell the factory style ones anymore.
would like one on the rear.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
cheers
cflife, have my eye on one of these. Haven't heard any reports but they look the goods. Seconds can be found on ebay also with minor scratches. Reckon I can cut the rear seat in half and mount on one side?. Other option is to mount off transom one one side or other on step.

cflife,
do one yourself, I've seen a rubbish bin (those plastic ones with the clip on lid, one clip either side), it had the top handle of the lid cut out and a layer of tubing around the top connected to a bilge pump. an overflow is installed that simply runs over the side of the boat. the tubing had holes in it to spray water onto the surface (best way to provide air apparently), anyway it was black so the fish were more at ease due to the darkness. and if you aren't using live bait it becomes a very handy kill tank.
That way you had fresh airated water when at rest. beautiful.
Personally, pay $200+ odd if you want, I'll be making one from the plastic garbage can for well under $60.
