Where to Stick Em?

Just having a thought of putting my nav lights on angle brackets on the extremities of the hull near the Bowrail and it suddenly dawned on me I could quite easily put them on the Centre Console. I did have a squiz through some posts and found a couple of members have done exactly this ... was just wondering as to the height and legality of doing so and whether they impede visibility?

mine are installed on the console and as long as they are above the height for the hull and visible from the front of the boat to 120 degrees around uninteruppted they will be fine

Mine are on the center console too, but in the dead of night they reflect off the white interior and are bright. It's definitely more convenient to install them on the console from a wiring perspective and given that I have removed one of the rails at the front for mounting electric motor it's also more practical for me too since they'd be in the way on the gunnel. Just keep the reflection factor in mind depending on your own boat layout and night use frequency.
