Geday Guys,
I took some punters out to the reef yesterday, I wanted to try out my newfangled underwater digital camera as I had forgotten to take the battery on my last trip. I managed to get these couple of shots before the bastard thing filled up with water!wtf
Needless to say I didn't get any shots of the fish we caught later(agro)(agro)(agro)

It has a hairline crack across the flash, I couldnt see it until it was underwater!! I looked at the olympus Pete, but I decided I would go the more expensive canon. I dont think brand makes a difference when its cracked, and I dare say if I managed to crack one, I would have cracked the otherdoh

sounds like that camera sucks.... water that is

I have a waterproof camera to 10m. Cost me $570. Works brilliantly. Only used it in the swimming pool so far but its great.

My son found an Olympus 770SW in the mud at a "big day out" concert in Sydney. It survived the mud, alcohol and mosh pit.
It has since gone on to survive being owned (for the second time) by a careless young person who takes it swimming fishing and god knows what else. My sons mobile phones have a life expectancy of a cold stubby in January, so it's a good camera!!:)

I have an olymPUS. Its certainly held up in the water, but takes the worst photographs of any point and shoot camera I have owned or used. Keen to try the lumix and canon cameras and see what they are like.
