Over the past year my goal has been to rig up a 4.8m brumby to develop a good inshore and offshore boat. After a truck load of work and scheming the finished product has caught everything from Spanish mackerel 20km?s offshore to bream up the creeks and barra from the impoundments. The boat offers the versatility to fish off a big cast deck in shallow water or from a spacious rear compartment that is well designed to enable most types of offshore pursuit. Sadly she is going on the basis of more speed required in tournaments, and being that I am filming DVD work from her quite a lot now ? couldn?t fit the camera crew and fishos comfortably! She is being advertised in the upcoming Sport Fishing and Freshwater Fishing mags so Poly Boat owners get first dibs by a couple of weeks ? and at $26,000 is a steal!
The 2009 boat registered to June and comes equipped with;
2009 75HP E-Tec (50 to 60 hours) ? pushes the boat at 28knots top speed and throws it out of the hole so plenty of speed for recreational purposes and has been great for handling Noosa Bar.
2009 Oceanic Trailer ? easy self guiding drive on
80lb Minkota Maxxum bow mount electric motor
3 batteries (2 under deck)
Custom fitted casting platform (specially welded and designed to enable poly flexing) - $3000 custom fitted
Rod lockers (6 times 7 foot capacity) and 3 under deck storage areas including anchor well with rope and anchor
90litre plumbed and insulated live well/kill well (under deck)
Deck non slip rubber carpet fitted (Jag carpet) ? making for easy wash - $550 material
Fitted with spray chines and 2.1m canopy and canvas curtains for dry comfort for the angler and family - $2500 custom fitted ? able to swing off the canopy she is that well fitted!
798 (5 inch) Humminbird side image colour sounder ? retail $1800
GME marine radio
2 inner hull bilge pumps and one outer for live well fill.
Boat fully wired for all services including nav lights.

If you?re interested let me know asap.

Cheers

Honestly that is a very nice price.

The 4.8m is about to go to a boat yard for selling. They will take a cut so prior to heading there will consider a price of $23,000 - it's what I would be left with after commissions so anyone interested prior to her going down the road - get in soon.

One should never brag about the size of their gun, particularly if it's only a half-incher.....laugh1

Half inch is the calibre, not the length, Kapitan Kustard. Hard for you to believe, I know, but........

Poor Mrs Kustard.

"50 cal" is for blokes who need to boast, PP. Those of us satisfied with life are able to call it "half inch". Just ask Miss Jane.

well work has been crazy and should finally have the house sold soon, so lookout QLD... getting close...can almost smell the salt..

the handbrake and I will take about 2-3 weeks to slowly fish from Bundy to Hinchinbrook, or maybe do it in about 10 days then shoot up to Cooktown.. we're still negotiating (I'm begging her to let us go to Cooktown sooner rather than later..) ;)

I am pretty keen to spend a good week around hinchy, bought the local hinchy guide it shows a few spots that will come in handy but we plan to spend a fair bit of time sounding out the place ourselves.. Hopefully the wind plays the game and we can fish a wreck that's about 10nm east of Hinchy Is.

cheers, I've registered a blog and will post a trip report afterwards.
