Just taken over ownership of a 2008 vintage 4.1 Tiller Steer with 50HP Etec as the primary propulsion unit. Quality of original build rates high at 9 out of 10(craft has undergone extensive modification to both install the 50HP motor and lots of goodies).

Primary reason I cannot rate it higher are 2 factors;

1. No sealing of bow rails where they attach to the hull, found this when I fitted a newer model Minkotta, water had ingressed into the buoyancy foam.

2. Packing pieces for all hatch covers only attached by glue, this will be rectified by installing stainless countersunk screws to secure packers to hull.

Early days in the inspection and proving process, hope the "wet test" uncovers no further issues.

Will post some pics in the relevant section in the future.

mmm go look at tinnies i rate quinnies brookers etc no higher than 5/10 myself
weld left with rod stuck in it , bubbbles in it -corners not properly filled in etc
at least when it all does come apart in the poly-she will still float
and even with the water in the foam -there will be no osmosis or oxidation(past minimal couple of molecules on skin)

wait ill u get it on the water mate -mine flies with a 30 on -reckon ill need new underrods with a 50 at open throttle

the thing i like about this site is, if a problem is found it get past on so others can keep a look out and fix it should it happen to them.
