and a top view

as you can see they are mounted in such a way as to be very well protected from bumps and knocks............. hope this helps

P.S. I think the bigfeller may have the brackets for sale

thanks for the info, looks like just under the bow rail is definitely the place to put them.

Dont forget your all round white mast light.
Also check your angles to ensure they meet regulations, see this link (http://www.msq.qld.gov.au/Safety/Navigation-lights.aspx)
See here (http://www.polyboatowners.com/2010/vb/showthread.php?p=3303#post3303) for a PDF on fitting lights

"here we go first photo, the brackets were hand made from s steal this is a shot from the back
from the frount"

Poly took the trouble (unlike the rest of you bastirts) to enquire after my vision, post-op. He was worried that I wouldn't be able to see well enough to pick on his spelling.

Spelling, punctuation, capitalisation - where do I start, Miss Jane? Does a good flogging encourage better English? Or is it a case for a "warning shot" through the back of the head? I need your professional advice, and possibly a 9mm round for my pistol.

Doug,Doug,Doug.

You medical types do not understand ozzy English and engineering."S Steal" means he got it at a good price, and "frount" means it is a front mount !.So much stuff to to educate the old and frail about, and so little chance of success !laugh1

and possibly a 9mm round for my pistol.

Doug if you are going to do it get a real gun, try a desert eagle chambered in 50ae, that's a mans gun.

I would have spelled it hi-jack. laugh1
Just go with the flow Jeb, it's easier. :)
Not sure about Qld. (assume the rules are the same) but in NSW the anchor light must be minimum of 1 metre above the nav lights. Just thought I'd mention it as plenty of people get pinged for it, and new boats are still being delivered that don't comply.shock

Jeb, you could improve on the punctuation, but the spelling passes with high distinction. That means, of course, that only Miss Jane and I will know what you're talking about.

Sorry about the hi-jack. I'm told I'm a persistent offender.

Hi everyone, i do not own a poly yet but i do plan to in the near future. Quick question how does everyone run the cables from their electric devices back to the consoles? I would love to be able to run them between the skins but did not think it would be possible with the layout of the ribs between the two skins?

Sorry about the hi-jack, its sorta kinda a little bit on topic. Cheers

Sorry about the hi jack Jeb,but as others have said you will good info amongst it all.If you need to run internal wires, I have been told to use the plastic strip out of yellow tongue pineboard floor sheet, to thread wire internally in the poly boats. As Chin Said,Go with the flow mate.

Definitely the best place to put them is where Poly has shown. I was gong to put them on the console but because of the CC would not be good to drive with and maybe slightly illegal angle coverage. A little info from experience: Drill a hole on the gunwale ensuring you drill between the cavity and not out the side of the hull!!!! Feed an electricians tongue down through hole and keep it in the upper section of the skin, push down to the back and pull 4mm Twin core wire back through. Mine run under the floor from the back then up under the centre console. As a temporary measure I removed one of the rear rod holders and put the anchor light in that hole ... between the 2 of us we had 4 drills .. no of them working properly!!! Have fun, its quite rewarding doing a lot of this yourself ... most of the time!!!!!
