I had a trip out from Bundy on Sunday morning 11/4/ 10. The wind was up a bit more than expected so we went to a close in reef (5Ks).Set out a good burley trail and after about 1 hour had a nice Spanish in the boat (almost not, thanks to a weapon head in a FWD control tinnie coming in for a close look, sign language works wonders) After we boated the Spanish all went quiet, so we went North about 15Ks and found some tuna busting up some bait, but a few hook ups got busted off after some blistering runs. The day got better as it went on, but I had to be back early for bloody work reasons. We did about 50Ks for the morning, on about 11 litres 0f juice, love those 4 strokes.
Yesterday I went out to put out some crab pots in with a mate in the Burnett river, after we put them out we thought we would chase some prawns.I will let the pics speak for the outcome, garlic prawns tonight YUMyippy. The Muddy in the foreground was good as well,I forgot to add that these prawns were between two of us,3/4 of a 20lt bucket.

Haven't you got a job to go to? We self-funded retirees are tired of subsidising you dole bludgers.

Please send prawns to starving old pensioner couple in Noosa. Address to follow (as soon as I work out where we are.)

"I am fuller than a state school hat rack "

God help Bundaberg - it will burn flatter than when Nero was fiddling in Rome. Thanks for the prawns - I am sitting waiting for the *6^&3(0- current to bring both of them (lightly spiced) to Noosa. Not holding my breath but.......

You should go fishing more often Giffo, looks like it's worth the effort.
How do you catch the prawns? Cast net?
Don't send Prawns to Doug, he'll just incorporate them into some unspeakable Scottish fare.
