Hi,
Im just looking a getting into the poly world and wondered if a 40hp e-tec would be ok for a 4.5cc. I in Vic so nearly everywhere I fish I'm stuck to 5knots anyway. There will only be 2 of us in the boat most of the time. Any help would be great before I take the plunge
Cheers

Polycraft boats seem to prefer the max rated HP on the back but then if you are only ever going to run at 5Kt then it wont matter.

In a word no
poly's need max hp........................... o.k. you say I will only be doing 5 knots, right, wrong, there will be times when you are away on holidays in places were you can go flat chat with your hair on fire....................with a 40hp it will take a week to get on the plain, so go the max and enjoy your boat when you can
