View Full Version : Boat transport
G'day all, last week i bought a poly in cairns and at the moment i am trying to sort out getting it transported down to the sunny coast area. My question is, has anyone used a transport company around this area and does anyone have any contacts?
cheers.
These guys made me a decent offer which I took without any later grief, for a tinny from Sinney to Noosa. It was 8 years ago but!

cheers doug, it is hard to find carriers for the smaller trailered boats. It seems the options are special boat carriers or car carriers, i found one car carrier that would do it for $420 but i had to wait for one of his pick up cars in cairns to have a tow ball. Oh i want my poly so bad it hurts haha.
I just used Speedy Car transport to come from Bris to Cairns...
it is much cheaper going back to Bris
email is Kym Pace [gkpace@bigpond.net.au] or phone 5429 5622
got a new present sent up ... pics after Saturday
thanks dave i will be giving them a call! And does $420 sound about right?
Is saturday the 'break in' trip?
I paid double that UP to cairns but I am sure its heaps cheaper going down cos they are all after a backload. Everything heads north and not much south
Yup it sure is... woot woot!!
Im so excited two more sleeps untill the polycraft santa visits, in case anyone was interested it ended up costing $660 including travel insurance. Now all that is needed is a buyer for the tin can so i can fund my arm length list of mods, good times ahead!
Congrats ... who did you end up using?
A mob called North Queensland Boat Haulage, very good to deal with, poly arrived yesterday all safe and sound ill put up my before pictures in the next couple of days.
