I have had a message from a chap who wanted to buy my boat. He's trying to join this useless band of bludgers but can't. He says, "As for registration, I've tried the "register now" button but get "Sorry, registration has been disabled by the administrator." every time. Dunno if I'm doing something wrong?

Cheers,
Willem

Dave, get your shit in one heap or I may have to organise another coup.

Dont get your plumbing in a knot there Doug....

I turned off registration because of the constant bombardment of spambots... about 10 per day.
If you notice there HAVE been new people registered.
All anyone has to do it to email me, as have others, and I will register them.
Tell him to use the email link to send me his requested username and it will be done!

Dave :all my shit in one heap: In Charge

Ps you couldnt get a pidgeon to coo nowadays

I've passed on your abuse. His name's Willem. Be nice for a change.

GOOD admins have those squiggly letter tests to weed out spambots. Need any tips? :D

Next coup will install Giffo as the head man - he's got lots of time on his hands.

Will,if you get Dougs boat, put heaps of bait all over it, as he has only ever done pretend fishing(throwing bits of rag) from itlaugh1.

Welcome aboard Will. Hope you end up with a Poly, the 5.3 always gets good comments from owners.
If you get to inspect Doug's boat, could you please check under the floor for old Pilchards, and get back to us.

& if you dont decide to get Dougs 5.3 put a Pilchard in there so it will smell like a real fishing boat.

Oh & yes Welcome aboard.

Welcome Willem.laugh1

Rule No.1 on the forum is:
If anything goes wrong, it's Doug's fault.

Always bear this in mind if anything happens with your boat; simple things like forgetting to put the bungs in, running out of fuel, having a flat battery because a piece of equipment running etc will ALWAYS be Doug's fault.
:rolleyes:laugh1

Thanks everyone. Doug's already indicated he's hanging on to his boat so I'll have to keep looking. Pity, I was hoping to break her in with some "real" fishing :)

"with some "real" fishing "

Willem, Willem, "real" fishing is fur and feathers, anything else is just one step up from dynamite. Listen and learn Grasshopper!

,,,,that would be right, dont tell us "Doug got your hopes up and trampled on them like the insensitive soul he is sometimes!"doh
He does that you know, he's good at it too actually!(agro)

,,,so what size Polycraft were you looking for?:)

Be fair BF, the "advert" for my boat is at least a year old and is on the old website. It just shows the trouble people will go to to avoid buying a boat from you!

Me? Insensitive? How dare you?

Not 100% sure yet but looking very likely to be a 5.3. I'm interested in a (newish) used one because (a) cannot afford/justify the price of a new one and (b) all niggles have been sorted and various bits & pieces added.
