G'day all, just following the instructions and intro'ing myself. I look after a 5.99 C/Console Frontier and use and abuse it around the Katherine region. The boat belongs to my father-in-law and lucky for me he likes me and lets me play at Captain as he had limited boating experience. A fantastic boat that we have modified to suit our style of fishing/boating. The mods include long range fuel-tanks, underfloor water tank, Xlarge bait tank, casting deck which doubles as a dry store/ice box and the best bit of kit of all is the complete boat covering mozzie dome.
So thats the "Tommy Tuff", so if you see us on the Roper or the Vic say g'day!

Regards

I tell you what keefy, I can always fit hemp pockets on each corner of the cast deck for you?doh
The same type you find on billiard tables around the world!laugh1
If your in an isolated area you may want to consider a world coverage satellite
dish, I hear they make great micro waves!pointlaugh

Gday Chuck and welcome to the site,my Brother ran the pub at Elliot for a few years up your way,I never did get there for a visit though.Your rig sounds like it would be good for over nighters in the rivers.

Are those for his testicles when the wife says NO to the fishing trip with the boys??

I think youve got the wrong idea about my wife Dave. When I want to go out fishing for the day she packs my lunch, pats me on the bum and sends me on my way. You can literally here the cork pop on the bubbles bottle before the door closes and the blare of the telly playing some god-awful womans program through the trees as I fuel the boat up.

pointlaugh Well if this is to be the case maybe I need to rethink the sizing of the "pockets" and instead fit those enviro friendly green Woollies shopping bags instead! doh

or

I could see if I can research some fur lined thimbles,,,,,, wtf

Well that's a welcome and a half!! I can see we're going to have a beautiful relationship......

Will post some pics of the girl in a week or so and include the Mozzie dome Keith. A necessary evil up here - cuts down on the breeze but the bugs are a bastard.

She's set up for about a week of cruising Giffo with 350lts fuel under the floor, 90lts freshwater and tonnes of storage and still allowing you to fish with all your kit on board and then we wash it down at the end of the day with the deckwash so that the kitchen/bedroom is smelling pretty. We sling hammocks across the deck up high to keep us in the breeze and have got an 80 lt Trailblazer on board for keeping beers/food icy. We have also strapped another 6 Jerry's along the back "Marlin Board" for extended trips off shore.
Sorry if I sound like a proud parent/lover but......... she's reliable, she doesn't talk back and she enjoys me when Im smelly...

G'day again all, apologies for the delay in getting back to you with pictures but I'm having trouble posting them. Any suggestions or tips? It keeps telling me "Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing."

Chuck

Hi Chuck, I will leave the whiz bang kids to answer your last question. My question is how do you fish inside a mozzie dome? Do you have holes to poke the rods through?

Hi Chuck

I m itching to see this boat.

When you post, you should be able to scroll down and see the Manage attachments button under the window you write in.

Once you hit that, you should bre able to browse to the pic and attach it. There is a limit on size, I dont know what it is.

The better way to show the propper pic on the post, is to sign up with phot bucket, upload to that then just jing it to your post.

I posted a turorial on photbucket the other week here

I was just taking the piss at the time but yopu can probebly get the drift

G'day again all, I can drive a boat but bl... computers! Got a few of the pics loaded and will add a few more, please excuse the cleanliness of the boat - just got back from a weekend away and took advantage of it being out of the shed. Thanks to all for the hints - at least one of them worked. Polyfrank - nah no holes for rods, we put it up when the fishing's finished. You can sit outside and fish from the marlin board but generally when the dome is up the beers are out!
