A collection of hints from various members
" Mine is a white 2002 model and had all sorts of blood, guts and mud put on it.The best way I have found to clean them, is to leave the boat outside of a night, so the dew and night air get on it and softens up the goobers and dirt, and then hit it with a pressure cleaner in the morning before the moisture dries off the hull. Maybe some truckwash for the oils out of the fish. The little blackheads are small holes full of cr@p,the holes are caused by gases escaping from the plastic in the moulding process, due to the temp not being just right I have been told.I have also been told that marine carpet on a buffer (not angle grinder) will bring up the shine on a dull hull. "
"I have a small patch on the cab that gets the small black dots & have found that the pressure washer is all I need to get it clean."
" those tiny black dots will clean with a touch of CT18 and apply the pressure hose in a direct line, that is 90% to the surface and the black dots will vanish!
,,we have trouble with these when boats sit in the yard for a few months?"
" I had a big overflow from the filler cap which i didnt notice and consequently had a huge stain on the transom and sponson.
Hit it with the pressure cleaner
then used Domestos diluted in water
poured that over it and left for a couple of minutes then
used a scrubbing brush then
hit it with the pressure cleaner again
no more stain
to bring the shine back, use a heat gun to gently heat the area. Keep and eye on the area and when it gets a shimmy on it, it will come up shiny again."
