Went to the Melb. boat show last Thurs. and decided I need to earn $250 K at least a year to have the toys I NEED. Anyway the only plastic/poly boats were from NZ, I think they are called Smart Wave. They are not as thick in the two walls (the rep said average of 5mm -7mm), as a result they are a fair bit lighter and need less horsepower to get them up and going; that was his call. I persnally like the 10mm dual thickness of the Polycraft. Great deals to be grabbed, got a Hummingbird 788ci Combo for $870. Cheers and good boating to all, Migs.

Its pretty dissappointing that PC didnt have a presence there. I do remember talking to a couple of dealers a few years ago that said the market was down and the price to set up at the Shows was huge with comparison to the sales from the show.

If you arent seen, you wont be known, especially a speciality market like the poly range.

There would have been at least 10 others looking at the poly boats while I talked to the rep.PC should have been there !

I went past the dealer I got my 5.3 from & he didnt have a single poly in his yard. He is still listed as being a dealer but like you said Dave cant sell boats if people dont know you can get them.
