wtf Aluminium in a polyboat???
Ur sacked from the site!!
laugh1
Looks neat and tidy, the floor on my boat has started to sag a bit and the seats are leaning in toward the centre line.
Carpet will hide the abomination of alumininium, where is the centre console from?

Don't worry about Dave, he's just cranky because someone beat him to Aunty Pamela's 2 400 000 GBP. And that you've got a better colour boat.laugh1
Which motor are you putting on it?

I built the console from 3mm ally and painted it

I wonder how much weight you can save replacing the floor in a 4.55 Cuddy....
My floor panels are sagging too. Wouldn't might throwing them out for ally covers, and installing a bit of carpet.
Gotta watch out that I don't turn my rough boat too flash though.

You will save heaps if it’s the same floor as the 5.3. I’ve taken part of the floor up on my boat and its heavy. But having said that, weight helps with the ride.

Due to my fondness for food and drink, my boat is not suffering from a lack of weight..
lol..
But I understand what you mean.
@Karl, I have access and ability to use a TIG at my little Coal Terminal workshop..
But bill of materials..
washers look like 40mm square bits 6mm alloy flat bar.
2mm maybe 3mm thick 25mm alloy angle
and 4mm thick alloy checkerplate..
Am I close?
I think I'd change the checkplate to 4mm thick plain plate, which I would be worried will dent under my weight.. But I'd throw carpet over the lot anyway.. which makes lovely looking checkplate redundant..
Your thoughts Karl?
Cheers

Nice job with the console Karl
Mick the wasgers are 10mm angle is 50 x 50 x 6 u have to put self tappers in the sides as well to give the brackets plenty of strength. With the floor there are 50 x 25 x 3 box rivetted underneath in 4 places think your wait wouldn't be a problem
Cheers
checker is 5mm and I have found some rubber mats for the floor.

Thanks for the measurements, obviously my "Tradesman's eye" is out to hell...
Better see what's lying around at work in alloy...
