Looking good Karl,I have nearly lost the deckie over the bow on numerous occasions whilst they were retrieving the picklaugh1Which is a bit of a pain, as good ones are hard to findlaugh1
I know how you feel Giffo, I am fond of my anchor and trying to find a good one to replace it is a bugger
bloody nice to have the bender /welder as a bit of lie around tools inst it m8
blooody nice work
giffo/dave
most people get quit good at retrieving anschors after 3-4 good floggins
brits sailed doing that for how many years pulling up 300-400kg anchors
(before even Dougs day)
Dvr the price for those rod racks I worked out to be 420 per side
Cheers

Nah, I think Doug was around then... as a ships boy or similar if the rumours are correct..
I lost a deckie overboard at night in the torres strait, no anchor involved, a couple of beers involved on his part though...he leaned against the canvas frame (aluminium) like i told him not to...rather than holding onto secure handles... we were doing about 25kt at the time, so it took me about 30 secs to turn around and get him, he was pretty happy to see me when I got back to him. Near black rock Dave...not a nice spot to be in the water alone :) he was also stone cold sober by the time he got back into the boat!
they have yet to recover a man alive on the big southern ocean yacht races- goin into the 40s and 50s
allways come up missing the spark
bloody scary especially at night
why i do a 'get off ass' count punters every 20' during night steams
hopefully never happens
Karl bloody nice but a bit more than i wanna spend -nice work though
Karl,I was speaking to Todd from Caloundra today, and realised that you did the work on his Cat.I have seen the work you done for him,Centre Cab and Stainless work.Very nice2thumbsup.

Nice bow rails Karl. What are the rectangular holes in the hull for? Again!!!!!
Pretty sure he said in another thread that he had no idea why because they were cut by the previous owner.

Karl
Nice colour.. nice size.. Though I'll stick with my Cuddy version for when it gets nasty 30km offshore :) Something to duck behind.
That be the new DF60A on the back right?
Cheers

Oh those first ten boring, boring, boring hours.....
But even going slow with the DF60A is ok, while idling forward there is hardly any noise at all from the motor..
The splash of the water out the telltale can be heard over the silence of that mighty internal combustion engine..
Of course the engine at full noise afterwards is far far better...
