Hey mate,
Don't need two boats, Only had silly offers on my 5.3 so its worth more to me to sell this one and keep the 5.3.
Cheers

do it Mick, you know you'll thank yourself when you have that extra room to play with
Here's a pic.
They are a lot higher with much bigger chines then a 5.3 so I would expect it to much drier.

don't do it Luke.
if you could take a holiday and get your 5.3 to a major population centre, then you'd sell it for sure. keep the 6m and take a holiday with the 5.3 mate. even on consignment from a boat yard or similar.

Actually I have heard reports that the 5.3 has the pick of the ride.. For planing, stability at rest, and driness... But of course you got to weigh that up against the length of the boat..
And I think I may get correct by more experienced PBO members here.. (No big flame please)
I think it's a bit like the old argument between turbos and sheer cubic capacity in engines... Sheer cubes may not be more efficient, but darn it, they are fun.

I have a 5.3 but never ridden in any other polycraft boats.
I do think it rides so much better that a couple of my mates tinnys of similar length.

Not hard.. little chop (30cm) and my 4.55 starts making 5.5m open tinnies look uncomfortable..
I go chasing them around the bay, just to make 'em grimace trying to keep up..
Even more fun with 60HP pushing her..

i'm guessing at the electrics went back into the 5.3m. If all goes to your plans mate i look forward to the end result.

Damn, maybe missed my chance... For my area I'm more interested in the 5.3 with the 150HP (Yes, that's right no insurance for me) Best insurance is common sense...
I'll try and catch up with Luke for a chat..
Might be easier for me to look at a job near Karratha.. Much happening around that way?
Need a change :)

shitlaods of work for tradesmen over here mate, plenty of employment agencies looking for skilled people.
Will include a HDS10 with structure sound for $46000. There is no doubt that this will be drier and ride better then a 5.3.
Cheers

i'd agree with that, the 5.3 rides well but the contact point with the water is rather forward for my liking
Add has been updated and price reduced!

Dont forget I can arrange transport or collection if it sells to the Eastern States?
I may be heading over to WA early next month?
FYI the boats off the market. I managed to put a few hours and they are a whole lot drier then the 5.3.
Cheers
