I'm trying to get a chart that means something when it comes to various Suzuki four-strokes stuck on the back of a fully-laden Warrior...
Maybe I should have done lightly laden too..
Anyways, can anyone see anything in this, or give tips..

Chevrolet advance design (http://www.chevy-wiki.com/wiki/Chevrolet_Advance_Design)
Mate from what I can see ,the vertical line is KG/KW and the bottom line is Kilowatts. So the 115hp is 16.7 KG/KW and 84.6 Kiolwatts the same info in the table but as a graph. And they are saying that the 140hp is 3kg lighter than the 100 and 115hpwtf.
Saw a nice Warrior CC on Boatsales.com with 115 Suzi for 27K,looks good.
The graph just tells you that higher HP = more bang per kilo. If you want add the poly weight to get an overall power/weight ratio.
Of course that is of little use as you are bound by the manufacturers reccomendation for HP and weight. If you go above that then kiss insurance goodbye and if you damage property and/or hurt someone you'll have a lot of explaining to a man in a wig.

You don’t have to worry about motor sizes mickatbowen because it needs to be max. That’s 115hp

My 115Hp oil breathing Johno pushes my cuddy cab with 4 people on board at 34Kt in the right conditions & I dont get then very often in Bass Straight with the standard ally prop that came with the motor so I dont see the need for more GGs

It's true the 140 is a special build by itself in the range..
The 90/80/70HP are recent, and the 60/50/40 is brand new... So I'd say the 115/100 might be next for the Jenny Craig treatment.

Call me irresponsible if you like, but up my way you would have to be doing something really strange to damage someone else's property.
Not sure how you could hurt someone, without again not having much commonsense...
And insurance, well poly's are supposed to be unsinkable.
But then again, at 38, I still don't know everything

I knew my then 19 year old (now 30 something with kids of her own) was growing up when she said to my wife and I, "I wish I knew as much as you guys". :)

I should move to Bowen I think :D
Remember insurance is not just to cover your boat but damage to other boats as well. Dunno about you but I can't afford to replace a 680 patriot. All good and well to say you have to do something strange but we ALL have moments of madness. If not you must be reading this with St Peter looking over your shoulder
mmmm the diver without a dive flag looking for something he lost next to the jetty
as u come in -happened last year here in WA , snorkelers no flag as the sun is setting looking for crabs- u coming in with sun in eyes - happened
kid falling in from jetty getting chopped by boat leaving - happened
old lady walking behind a BIG 12m cat as the driver is backing in to the ramp- couldnt see her -happened
there is plenty more
m8 my insurance cover is not for my stupidity- but yours :)
as for kW /kg absolutely right 100/115 is an older heavier block using slightly older injection system as well, being looked at
rumour reckon possibly mid/end of 2011 we ll see a new model
as for st peter , Will , i must have his m8 called nick on my shoulder looking at my luck

Me neither.. Haven't seen a Patriot in the flesh yet.. But it's Bowen, there are not enough boats around for me to hit..
But insurance is a good thing I'll agree, but not essential to the continuation of life.. I've faced death a couple times, and insurance was now where to be seen, and would not have helped.. Common sense and luck sometimes wins through..
All good and well to say you have to do something strange but we ALL have moments of madness.
I have more than a few, but all of them calculated to not involve/endanger any other person.. No one has the right to endanger another..
If not you must be reading this with St Peter looking over your shoulder
I hope so, it would be a great improvement..
But unfortunately it's usually a ghostly image of my badgering mother telling me that if I apply the brakes at 110km with a front tyre blow out, i'll flip.. off the accelerator, and maybe some park brake.. steer and hang on..
My response to image: F-off mom, I'm about to die..
:) Wierd thing is she's still alive and kicking
I didn't of course

And that's the gamble you take, knowing full well the chances that given all preparation, precautions, and planning, that SHIT HAPPENS.. not nice shit either.. (how many times can you say shit before getting in trouble in the forums?)
I'm not promoting people not get insurance.. But I won't condemn those that take the chance. But I will tell them to stop whinging if the gamble didn't work out their way..

BACK ON TOPIC..
we have drifted here, and I reckon that could be attributed to me.. but back to the original idea
More HP better (till you max out)
And while to Suzi DF90A, DF140 might be an excellent choice in their range.. The 100/115 is suffering old age.. And the 150HP is suffering being a really small 175hp
Any other pearls of wisdom?
