Work has dried up in my usual field of Pontoon Boat manufacture and sales, and being self employed I need to diversify to stay alive!
So the need has arisen to look further afield for income, something that could work side by side with the other identities.
So we have started a small transport service operating up and down the east coast although we will deliver into SA but mainly Victoria, NSW and Qld.

We have competitive rates, and offer a personal service door to door!
Not that interested in depot drop offs, prefer door to door!
All items in our care are fully insured, our vehicle is track-able through our onboard GPS locator.

From ski boats and fishing punts, Cars, Utes, Boat Trailers, Jet Ski's, Motor Bikes, Adv bikes, Bikes with Sidecars, Outfits, you name it I'll transport it!

Have a large car trailer with winch (dead bikes, cars) and closed-in floor for protection, I have a cradle mount for individual motor-bikes when needed?

We can also cover, tarp or shrink wrap your item on request, to keep them in pristine condition for the trip!

Give me a call on 0419 482592 for a chat on your next transport job!

Times are hard and we need to do this to survive.

Thanks for your time guys, I appreciate it greatly.

Thanks Pete, its not so much a new enterprise. More another string in the bow!
It's been extremely difficult this winter and things are getting harder rather easier in the market place in general.
Down here, we have just undergone the wettest winter for over 15yrs and it coincided with our first winter in the boat hire! Go figure!
Boat sales have dried up to less than a trickle. When I was at Polycraft last month the sales manager was saying their web based inquiry rate has plummeted by 75% on last years figures. And last year was 60% down from previous year.
We are not the only retailers doing it tough, I know that!
But that doesn't put food on the table, we aren't and never will be high volume operators and things are very tough I can tell you!

Just trying to diversify to stay alive!

The problem Pete, is I have that many "hats" to wear I need to check which one's on my head when I answer my phone these days!laugh1

Hope this works out for you Glenn, I wasn't aware that things were so tight in the boating / recreational sector.
How much to transport a dead rat to Noosa? There won't be anyone there to sign for it, just leave it on the exhaust manifold of the Kia Sorento in the driveway.

What am I going to do with all these dead rats?

Good luck with the new enterprise BF. I can offer you some business returning lots of deceased rodents to various parts of the country. You'd better shrink wrap them.....

Dragged a 6.3 SMUGGLER from Melbourne to Gold Coast this week!
Stopped just out of Coffs to pick up a Harley rider who was side swiped and slid almost 75m on his side under his bike!! ouch!!!
He was hit not by a car but by a rogue roo, shot out parallel to the ground from behind the guard rail!
Took his front wheel out and caused him much grief.
Lucky for him he was wearing good quality leathers, shame he didnt have gloves on though?
His hands were the only damage other then his ego, the roo was only a junior!

We are now transporting motor bikes fitted with side cars and trikes. Not the old railway type Doug, new converted motor bikes for the old farts who dont like laying down at traffic lights!

In a couple of weeks I have a job taking a refurbished Tuk-Tuk to the Gold Coast for filming on "Sea Patrol"!
This might turn into a serious side line, not that I'd be complaining!

Dont forget if you mention PBO when booking a job (transport) you will receive 10% discount!

That is unless your name is Doug and you will incur a 99% additional tax!!!yippy

The driving gets very tiresome Pete, although its having the desired effect of generating some funds. Not my preferred method of earning a quid, but we do what we have to do.
You get to meet some interesting people in your travels thats for sure.
And you get to see some pure idiots on the road.
Fair dinkum there's some stupid drivers on the road?
