What started as a trip to townsville 2 years ago asking some PBO members where to fish has turned into an annual trip to lucinda. The heads up on this place was given to us by good old borisdog. He had to fill in for his boss this year, so couldn't make it.

Needless to say, a weeks fishing and the first 'secret creek' bdog put us onto produced the best catches. We fished that creek 2 out of the the 5 days, and no other day came close to the same amount of fish.

Many Jacks and a barra, plus the odd trev and my best fish of the trip was a flathead, only about 60cm but with the widest head and fattest body I have ever seen. Most bizarre and awesome flattie I haver ever caught. Had it on deck to remove the lure and release it but somehow the bugger managed to get back into the water with my $25 lure still in its gob.

Off to 1770 now, for week 2 of annual fishing trip!
