Added a CMC trim tilt to my 4.1 tiller steer 2stroke 30hp Suzuki. Just the extra length to the boat 15cm makes all the difference to getting the boat on the plane with a load. Trim tilt has improved the ride through the chop on Tin Can Bay inlet. Wish I had done it ages ago but was only done in October after feedback on the old site. Appreciate the advice given.

Do you have any pics of your set up Jelifish. Others may want to copy what you have done & as they say a picture is worth a 1000 words. :)
Jeli, sounds like it was worth spending the $$ to upgrade the boat and to get such an improvement in performance and flexibilty in use is great news.
Could you expand on this info with pics and how you went about fitting the unit and I will then close it off so that it becomes a reference for others.
include cost, bought from, why this unit over others, installation, performance gains, any fitting problems..
dont ask much do I?(whistle)

The CMC trim tilt cost $1013 delivered. My local Suzuki mechanic fitted it for me at a cost of $192 as I didn't trust myself to do it. I did try to locate other trim/tilt units but without success28

I purchased the unit from CMC Sales Australia, Caboolture, 0409910808
To fit the unit the mechanic had to purchase 2 X 6" stainless bolts. As well I had a metal chock to raise the original motor height removed. Instructions to fit were supplied. However my mechanic used his fitting formula for the motor height not that provided in the instructions. I have added a piece of poly tube to the tiller handle. When I have determined the desire length I will then add the trim tilt button to the end of it.
Performance wise and fuel wise I'm not sure at this stage what impact it will have. Lack of time on the water due to work committments and cracking the head on my tow vehicle. However it does get on the plane much easier and has better attitude in the chop. I am also looking forward to exploring shallower water as the manual shallow tilt did not give it much scope.
