It was a beautiful day when we left and this was brewing from the south east.

One of the many Islands that we fly over.

A lot of the islands are so small the runway cuts them in two halves. A Caravan can land with little problem, but they give the breaks a workout at times.
Well SOME one has to do it...........
You'd think they'd have put the runway at right angles to the way they have it. I'll bet money it was built by Army engineers. Say no more......

So was that a Millard, Viscount or Franklin Caravan Dave?(whistle)
Geez, now I knew the old HQ Kingswood with the big block 202 had some power but to get the van to actually fly must have been awesome!(alco)

opps sorry guys, I copied it from the aviation I also posted it on. Forgot to delete the caravan reference. You obviously realise that is a plane rather than a Millard.

Glenn you needed to have the HQ with the 253V8 in it to fly, the 308 was too lumpy for flying.

Hey Dave, how do I post photo's like that?
I would imagine that there is some good fishing to had in them waters ?
Hey You guys made it... :D
Zome you have to have them stored on a server somewhere. if you want to email me the photos I can up load them to the server and send you the links to the photos then just insert the link in the appropriate spot.
Giffo the fishing is pretty good.. crayfish are excellent. A mate went out to Boigu the other day and got HUUUUUGE mud crabs for $6 each. He bought 15 of them and took them home to Cairns with him!
Bloody hell that job must be like a thorn in ur ass :P LOL

"Hey Dave, how do I post photo's like that? "
Zone, first you have to get an overpaid sinecure working for the gummint. Then you have to make up "clinical" reasons to go on jollies like that. You have to remember to get your butler to take the camera as well as the picnic lunch.
Easy really.
thanks Zut, I will.
Well, thats screws it Doug, 'cos overpaid is status that ain't likely to come my way anytime sooon...

No wonder Dave P (I think you know him) from TI in the firies bragged about the place.I dont think the missus would come if I got a transfer though !
