Must be 12v and 24v capable, what do you have and would you recommend it?
Thanks.

Whatcha going to use it on? Flooded, GEL or AGM, or all of the above?
When ever i need info on battery products I go to Battery World. I found they are a wealth of information. Have a look what they have, ask questions, then buy it on line... not very ethical but certainly saves money and you get what you need

i'd say they'll try and sell you something from the ctek range

I just recently bought a Swallow AC/DC EQ charger. At $135 I should have gotton it ages ago. Its a Battery charger I bought for my RC baja Buggie but now I use it fr many things. It will charge all sorts of batteries from Lead acid- NiCd/MH-Lithion/Po-LiFePO4. Current digitally adjusted from .1A-6.0A & Adjustable discharge .1-1.0 in 10A steps. It can do Pack Cycling (charge to discharge / discharge to charge) and it can run on 240VAC or 12VDC. What more do ya need. I now charge Camera batteries, buggie battery packs, Ni/MH batteries in controller & my batteries in boat. Great all rounder. Hope it helps http://www.modelflight.com.au/rc_model_chargers/swallow_eq.htm

80amp hr AGM and a 24v battery for my electric motor. plus probably the standard marine batteries too if required.

Since you said AGM, I would be looking at the higher end of the market, your ctek's and zantrex chargers are good.
However, I am in the market for the same sort of thing at the moment, and all this crap about 7 stage chargers and the like is really off putting and a load of crap. I am currently trying to hunt down a more commercial branded charger like a more modern version of this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SBS-BATTERY-CHARGER-HD12-10D-USED-WORKING-/390106406873?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ad4275fd9
That mob does commerical stuff, including telco systems so it must be ok.
I am yet to decide, but price is a big player. The mobs I am aware of that do more commercial stuff is SBS, Victron and Durst. I used to use SBS for commercial stuff. Not sure where you would get any of these brands these days, I been out of the game to long now.
I will be buying something in the next 2-3 weeks.
I just recently bought a Swallow!
If a black Stork brings black babies, and a white Stork brings white babies,
What sort of babies does a Swallow bring ?
None !laugh1laugh1
Good thread as I am in the market for a charger myself.
telwin leader 210
does 12/24 and u can start straight from it if u have to- max 80A @12 or 24
can also boost charge if u in a hurry to get the 24 trawling up for another fish late arvo -wont take 3 days to charge, but it will boost charge then go to trickle when close to capacity-remember thsi does take away from the life of the battery
have done gels , wets deep cycle and crank bats with it the gels and deep cycles are still working after 4 years '
never any probs
smart enough that i charge lil 3A 12 gels with it as well
dont know if it was made for it - but it works
it will not work on li-ion need to knock up a circuit for that which i can send u the drawings
(or u could nowadays most probably buy of ebay)
