love to but i'm offshore and chat sites don't work out here. Also bloody day light savings makes it very hard for us west coaters to participate, by the time i'm settling down to the PC even for 20 mins it's already 9.30pm over there and you old pharts are in bed :)

Yes Doug I have been wondering how long it would take for people to realise that & want to go back to Mondays or even move to Wednesdays

I have an Acer Aspire One & use it for just about every think now days.
It's all very well for you "multi-taskers" but I can only concentrate on one thing at a time, and sometimes not even that many.

Checked out the chat night at 20.27.hours. Where is everybody? Is it an old timers chat night and its in bed or fell asleep by 1900 hours.

That was a good chat session last night. I think we solved the Gillard/Abbott issue and put Giffo in his place. Poor old Keithy though - his string from the Telstra exchange got wet and that was it. I believe he took solace in strong drink, or at least that what the police report said. We'll find out when the court case comes up.
Frank, you'll just have to have an early tea next Tuesday if you want to join in. Several of the younger guys have curfews set by their wives, and the old pharts tend to pass out and wet themselves after 8pm (although at least they're not under their wives' thumbs....)

I think you are being a bit hard on our fireis Doug. I’ve seen documentaries of them in action. When the alarm goes they have to drop their pool queues, darts and playing cards and slide down the pole, jump into their fire engine and away. Just like Batman and Robin.
Also like Batman and Robin they have to practice sliding down the pole with no pants on. One sliding and one waiting at the bottom!
I think the saying “practice makes perfect” is the fireis motto.

Right you lot, it's chat night. Starts about 1930 Qld time which is an hour and about 15 years behind the rest of the east coast, so that's half past eight o'clock in Newcastle. Giffo, Chin and SB are the only ones who showed up last week, so the rest of you had better make an effort tonight.
