Coorooman SCUM strike again !!

Hi Team, once again the "things" that live around our area strike again .This time it was out of the water !!. The miss's work mate and family when for a nite fish last Sat ,putting in at the new ramp at Zilzie ,left @19.00hrs got back @ 2.00 and smelt fuel near car ,,,,you guessed it THEY syphoned the car tank!!!!.It was an older Nissan with a easier locking system and prob no theft device in the filler neck ,THE SCUM

Thats pretty sh!t! we had a bit of a run in at Coorooman during xmas break. we lost 2 pots. we drove past one of our pots after leaving it in overnight went around the bend for a bit of a fish. come back around an hour and a half later and it was gone... as quick as you like.

also while we were fishing the day before there was a boat with 3 blokes driving up and down the creek all day drinking and ducking in and out of mangroves. they even pulled right up next to one of our pots and just sat there as we stared at them and then took off again... pretty suss but something needs to be done about it.

Yeah , there is ,but its illegal to shoot them ,,, hang on, then again so is stealing !!!!!!!!!!

Fisherys up this way put in there own pots with crabs installed with a micro chip. they scan the crabs guys have 'caught' as they come ashore .this is in hot spots where locals are loosing there gear and crabs.

That is brilliant lipper!! Just the chance that you may get scanned would act as a deterrent.
It will never happen in NSW though, our fisheries guys can't afford the pot, let alone a micro-chip, or the scanner, or come to think of it....the crab. doh
