  • Sealing screws in casting deck

Hi everyone, I'm currently in the process of adding a front and rear casting deck to my 3500. So far I've sealed the wood with epoxy (norseal) and glued marine carpet using contact adhesive. I now need to screw in the hinges for the hatches (which are being screwed on top of the carpet if that makes sense). Is it better to add norseal to the screw holes? Or is it enough to add a touch of sikaflex to the hole when driving in the screw? Thanks for the help - chris

    Sikaflex would be my choice
