    Fatcat 4500

G'day, currently there is no Fatcat dealers in Australia, I'm seriously looking into importing a Fatcat 4500 hull only from Auckland NZ to Brisbane. Have had some direct messages with 2 or 3 owners of these boats and it seems all positive.. same for Blair of Fatcat boats .
They do make a trailer for this hull but may not be suitable for my use ( cape york roads/ tracks) . The trailer looks to be fine for sealed roads . Seems like for shipping it here there are 2 common ways , roll on roll off ship for hulls on a trailer, 2nd option in a 20 foot container, hull only. 2 of these 4.6m hulls can fit in a 20ft container. This option is if you're happy to build a trailer yourself ( or get a custom one made in Australia) , do most of the fit out and install your outboard , up to a 70hp 4 stroke yamaha , though I'm looking at a 60hp Suzuki
The shipping container cost would be the same if it had 1 or 2 hulls inside . Split the costs of the shipping container to Brisbane. I'm near Cairns FNQ , so extra freight cost by road . I bought my SW4200 about 7 years ago and looking to upsize . Made my own trailer and did the fit out and outboard install myself . To be fair it sounds like buying the Fatcat trailer and having the hull and trailer put on RO RO ship is the easier and cheaper option if shipping only 1 boat.

If you're looking at buying one these poly cats you could contact me, leave a comment or contact Blair of Fatcat boats NZ and tell him you're interested , do the order / payment to Fatcat and share the shipping costs with me.
